Fencing BOQ generator: the bill of quantities for your project
The SIMO Securon fencing BOQ generator turns your project's fence runs into a bill of quantities, set out like a tender BOQ: rolls, posts by type, braces, top arms, barbed wire, concertina and pits. Use it for the quantity calculation of a fencing estimate or a tender, for a solar plant or a factory. The full BOQ comes by email.

More about the BOQ generator
How the BOQ is counted
- Run by run. Each straight run is counted on its own, as SIMO Securon counts the runs of a quotation. Posts go at the post gap, with a braced strain post at a regular interval, an allowance of corner posts, and a pit for every post and brace. Then the runs are added up. Each run has a braced post at both ends. So a closed boundary entered as runs counts a little more than the fencing cost calculator does for the same plot: a corner where two runs meet is counted in both.
- Fence rolls. Each run’s length divided by the roll length, rounded up.
- Toppings. RTHT™ high tensile barbed wire for every row along the whole fence, in bundles of 200 m, 12 to 13 kg, and concertina coil by the length each coil covers.
- Transport. The whole supply, weighed on our server and given as a range of tonnes and truck loads.
Highways, railways and utility corridors
Corridor fencing is built to the authority’s specification and drawings. Send the tender or specification with the BOQ request and we reply with a design and quantities to match it. SIMO Securon makes its case on the specification, test reports from NABL-accredited laboratories, its ISO certification and inspection at its works.
FAQ
Fencing BOQ generator questions
What is in the fencing BOQ?
Every item the fence needs, line by line, with its unit and quantity. That is the fence rolls, intermediate, strain and corner posts, braces, top arms for the toppings, RTHT™ high tensile barbed wire bundles, concertina coils and the pits. Here you see the counts; the BOQ we email adds the fittings, the quantities run by run and the transport weight.
Does the BOQ include prices?
The generator shows a broad, dated total for the whole project when SIMO Securon has price guidance switched on: supply only, and supplied and installed for projects of 5 km or more. It is never a quotation. Request a BOQ review for a quotation with the design and the test documentation.
Can the BOQ follow our tender specification?
Yes. Upload the specification or drawing with the BOQ request, and an engineer works to it. For highway, railway and utility corridors, the fence is built to the authority's specification and drawings. SIMO Securon does not claim a government project record. It makes its case on the specification, test reports from NABL-accredited laboratories, certification and inspection at its works.
Why is the supplied and installed figure only for 5 km or more?
Installation is quoted for projects of 5 km or more, and nearby sites can be combined to reach that. For a shorter fence, the generator shows the supply-only figure; ask us about installing it.
Request a BOQ review and quotation
Send the specification and your drawing on WhatsApp or by email, or call us. An engineer reviews the BOQ against your site and sends a quotation with the test documentation.
