FAQ

Questions about SIMO Securon knotted fencing

What fence keeps nilgai and wild boar out of a farm?

SIMO Securon suggests a 6 ft Q-Knot fence on the graduated grid, in Zeta Nova or Alpha, where nilgai and cattle raid crops. Nilgai need a fence at least 6 ft (1.8 m) high that will not sag, and the grid's closely spaced bottom wires stop wild boar pushing under. Pi suits wild boar and smaller animals.

How do I get a price for my fence?

The SIMO Securon fencing cost estimator asks a few questions about your land, suggests a fence and works out your boundary, posts and rolls. Send the result on WhatsApp from your own number and the team replies with your price. Project buyers can send an RFQ for a bill of quantities instead.

Is a SIMO Securon fence more cost effective than chain link?

Yes, over its life. Conventional galvanised chain link costs less upfront, but a SIMO Securon fence is more cost effective: up to 10 percent with Alpha, 10 to 20 percent with Zeta Nova, which also lasts twice as long, and up to 30 percent with Pi. It needs around half the posts, so there is less digging and concrete.
