Anti-climb fence in India: the ZS-Knot 4 x 2 inch knotted mesh

The ZS-Knot locks each crossing from both sides. A separate knot wire is wrapped at least one full turn round the stay just above the line wire, crosses the line wire diagonally, and is wrapped at least one full turn round the stay just below it, in the same direction, so the wires cannot slide apart to open a gap.

A 4 x 2 inch grid stops a climber by leaving nowhere to put a toe or a finger: the stays are 2 inches apart and the line wires 4 inches apart, knotted at every crossing.

1. No foothold. Vertical wires 2 inches apart leave no gap for a toe or a boot.
2. No handhold. Fingers cannot get a grip through the grid to pull up.
3. Harder to cut and climb than chain link. Knotted at every crossing, with thicker 3.00 to 3.10 mm wires along the top and bottom; conventional galvanised chain link is a woven diamond, easier to cut and climb. ZS-Knot wire is 700 to 800 MPa in every grade.
4. A barrier on top. RTHT barbed wire and concertina coil sit on the post attachments above the fabric.

Only the 4 x 2 inch grid is anti-climb. The 4 x 4 inch and 3 x 3 inch grids are knotted at every crossing too, but they are not anti-climb.

ZS-Knot is made in the Alpha and Zeta Nova grades. ZS-Knot is made at 6 ft as standard, also at 5 ft in Zeta Nova, and up to 8 ft to order. A 6 ft fence fits the standard 8.5 ft QvikFixrr angle post; an 8 ft fence needs custom posts, made for fence supply orders of 2 km running length and above.

ZS-Knot is made in the Alpha grade, rated for 35 years or more, and the Zeta Nova grade, rated for 20 years, with correct installation: the same coatings, and the same rated life, as the matching Q-Knot grade. Its wire is 700 to 800 MPa in both grades, because the knot requires it. ZS-Knot is not made in Pi.

A ZS-Knot fence goes up on QvikFixrr angle posts with attachments for the topping, with terminal and corner posts braced in concrete. The fabric is fixed with QvikFixrr clips, flat bar fabric locks and M10 hot-dip galvanised fasteners at every strain, terminal and corner post, and tensioned only once the concrete has cured.
