Fencing contractor in Andhra Pradesh: farms, solar parks and industrial nodes

Elephants regularly destroy crops in the southern part of the state, especially in Chittoor and Parvathipuram Manyam districts, where the state arranged for trained (kumki) elephants from Karnataka to drive wild herds back into the forest; herds have also been reported in Tirupati district. In western Kurnool, around Aluru and Pathikonda, an estimated 25,000 to 30,000 deer roam, and farmers there report extensive damage to crops. In Kakinada district, wild boars have taken over idle land inside the special economic zone and damage mango, sapota and cashew plantations.

• Solar parks. As of February 2026, Andhra Pradesh had five parks sanctioned under the national Solar Parks Scheme, 4,200 MW in all. Those named in official releases include Ananthapuramu-I (1,400 MW), Ananthapuramu-II at Talaricheruvu (500 MW), Kadapa at Galiveedu (1,000 MW) and Kurnool (1,000 MW). • Industrial nodes. Krishnapatnam, on the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, is nearing completion; Orvakal (2,621 acres) and Kopparthy (2,596 acres) were cleared in 2024; and the Visakhapatnam-Chennai corridor has nodes at Visakhapatnam, Machilipatnam, Donakonda and Chittoor. Andhra Pradesh’s coastline was reassessed in 2025 at 1,053.07 km, the third longest of any state. Official releases name its coastal districts as including Nellore, Prakasam, Bapatla, Krishna, West Godavari, Konaseema, Kakinada, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam.
